In the continuing series of annual JUSTRI Science and Innovation Lectures (previous reports available at www.hivtri.com) three world-renowned experts will review the status of immunotherapeutics within the HIV epidemic, focusing on HIV itself and HPV. HIV in South East Europe (SEE) and MENA III
‘Destigmatisation through normalisation’
Malta – 8-10 June 2011
Taking forward our SEE project, the third biennial meeting will expand to encompass representatives from the Middle East and North Africa. TRI will use its innovative and highly successful multinational and multidisciplinary workshop groups to encourage regional networking and education on specific issues for the participating countries. The forums will consider stigma, paediatrics, drug access and the development of relationships to advance research and care models. [120 delegates]
Women in HIV
‘Improving understanding and broadening opportunity’
Zagreb, Croatia – November 2011
There remains a serious lack of interface between those caring for HIV and the medical and nursing services for women’s health. This meeting will bring together experts from across Europe, from the fields of obstetrics, midwifery & gynaecology, to consider the common issues facing women with HIV, specifically those relating to improving education and empathy of health care professionals working between these disciplines.. HIV TRISLIDE www.hivtrislide.com – and new for 2011, TRISLIDE www.trislide.org – to incorporate a wider medical coverage of health issues beyond HIV, relevant to those living with HIV
Launched in 2008, this free online slide selection library now has over 2100 registered users and a library of over 550 slide sets. It enables the creation of individualised PowerPoint presentations from a wide range of HIV and associated infection topics to be downloaded and used by individuals wishing to learn or teach about HIV-related subjects.
For 2011, we will launch a mirror site to focus more clearly on the rapidly increasing knowledge base related to viral hepatitis. We already have a wide selection of important slide sets covering clinical and scientific areas related to hepatitis B & C and HIV co-infection.
Coming of Age ‘A guide to ageing well with HIV’ 2nd Edition (and 3rd Edition late 2011)
A printed/online guide designed for use by HIV physicians and specialists caring for the secondary age-related medical problems of those living and ageing with HIV. There will be 3 regional ageing workshops/discussion groups in London, Brighton and Manchester. Dates tba

JN1 (Journal of N=1)
JN1 Case Reports
A free online journal designed to provide a forum for case reports of importance in HIV disease and associated infections such as viral hepatitis and tuberculosis. An international editorial board will review submitted cases and those published will be open for a period of discussion with the respective authors.

JN1 Case Studies
An addition to the services provided by the Journal of N=1 this free online programme will contain peer-reviewed case studies of importance in HIV disease and associated infections such as viral hepatitis and tuberculosis. The international editorial board of JN1 will review submitted case studies for their content, educational benefit and potential to provide information in a balanced and fair manner and those published will build into a library of cases providing a much needed resource..
