Already in its second edition (see www.justri.org) this popular guide to the subject will be updated following the Second International Conference on HIV and Ageing. Medical Students JUSTRI
‘Stimulating interest in the next generation’
Aware of the limited teaching around HIV and sexual medicine within the curricula of medical schools, this pro- ject will consist of three one-day teaching modules to be held in medical schools (UK, Europe and International) that will set the science to produce a template teaching course for use in a more widespread manner. Consisting of didactic lectures and question and answer sessions as well as assessment of learning over the day, it will help to increase the knowledge base and generate interest in HIV and associated conditions.
HIVTRI Slide – www.hivtrislide.com and new for 2012 – HEPTRI Slide
Launched in 2008, this free on-line slide selection library now has over 1600 registered users across the World and a library of over 1000 slide presentations and continues to grow. It enables the creation of individualised power point presentations from a wide range of HIV and associated infection topics to be downloaded and used by individuals wishing to learn or teach about HIV-related subjects.
For 2012 we will launch a mirror site to more clearly focus on the rapidly increasing knowledge base related to viral hepatitis. Already we have a wide selection of important slide-sets covering the growing clinical and scien- tific areas for hepatitis B & C as well as for HIV co-infection which will be expanded.
Hepatitis Clinic Guide
Designed to support the establishment and running of an effective clinic for treating viral hepatitis, this booklet will be written in conjunction with a wide range of health care professionals and patients who work in and use a clinic and support services for the care and treatment of viral hepatitis.
Journal of N=1 (JN1)
Journal of N=1 is our free, online, peer-reviewed publication devoted exclusively to case reports in patients with HIV and co-morbid conditions. The first edition is online at www.jn1.info with instructions to authors and information regarding the journal and its objectives. The second edition will be posted before the EACS meeting in Belgrade and we wish to expand the journal in the coming year.
